The Role
Led Tecnologico de Monterrey's Computer Science Student Society, driving initiatives to help CS students land roles at top tech companies through LeetCode workshops, CV reviews, and networking with industry professionals. Achieving connections with companies like: Bloomberg, Oracle, Softtek, Capital One and Duolingo.
Key Initiatives
As president, I led several important initiatives:
- Brand Redesign: After 10 years, refreshed the society's identity with a new professional logo, resulting in a 219% increase in Instagram interactions and a 93% boost in LinkedIn profile visits.
- "Grupos TC" Community: Launched a WhatsApp community connecting CS student groups across the university, growing to 1,100+ members alongside groups like SwiftTec, Cybersecurity TEC, WIT Tec, and AWS Cloud Club.
- Industry Partnerships: Partnered with Softtek — Mexico's largest software company — to explore projects benefiting the ITC community, and hosted Duolingo's first-ever online recruiting event at Tec de Monterrey with 220 attendees.
Learning
I loved this school year. It was my first time giving something back to the community who helped me so much to grow professionally and personally. I loved every challenge, mistake, and learnings the team and I had during this project. Looking back at it, I wouldn't change any of it cause it made our time as CS leaders, unique, fun, and really really awesome.
